The NJCAA has announced the All-America Team for the 2024 Season. Two Onondaga Sophomores,
Ellysia Germain and
Harmony Russell were named to the All-America First Team.
Sophomore Captain,
Ellysia Germain out of Cicero, NY finished the season with a total 34 points (12 goals, 10 assists). Germain was featured as the NJCAA Region III Athlete of the Week in Week 2 of play after scoring an impressive 6 goals in one match, breaking an Onondaga Women's Soccer record. Germain led the Lazers this season in assists and was featured in the top 10 in the NJCAA in total assists for several weeks. Germain scored the Lazers only goal in their final match of the season against Ocean County College to take a 1-0 victory over the Vikings in the National Tournament.
MSAC Player of the Year,
Harmony Russell had a historic season finishing second in the NJCAA in goals scored with 22. The Sophomore Forward scored 3+ goals in 4 games this season with 4 against SUNY Broome in early September. Russell finishes her career at Onondaga with 42 goals and currently holds the program record for single-season goals in her sophomore season.
