Corning, NY- The Lazers move to 4-0 against the Red Barons on the season with a pair of victories yesterday.
In the first game of the doubleheader the Lazers used a balance attack to defeat Corning 13-3. Jack Scanlon recorded two hits and scored on three runs while
Jake Depalma added two hits and two runs of his own. Five Lazers were on the mound for the first matchup and they totaled seven strikeouts led by
Dylan Swartwood who had three in two innings pitched.
The second game ended in the fifth inning due to the mercy rule. The end score was 12-2. This time the Lazers were led by
Carter King and
Kolby Gidcumb who both scored two runs. Four Lazers totaled eight strikeouts in this contest with
Seth Zurbruegg and
Wyatt Braun leading the way with three apiece.
The Lazers are back on the road on Saturday when they travel to Finger Lakes Community College.
