Sanborn, NY - The Lazers traveled to Niagara County Community College this weekend to pick up a win and bringing them to 8-1 overall. Onondaga was ranked 3rd in last weeks' Region III Women's Soccer Coaches Poll. The Lazers are No. 2 in the region and tied for the highest overall win percentage for the 2023 season. Regardless of their record, the Lazers have yet to crack the top 10 teams in the nation, but are continuing to receive votes.
The women made a statement this weekend defeating the Niagara Thunderwolves 10-0.
Brenna Mast led the pack with 4 goals and 2 assists. Lynnae and
Harmony Russell each had two of their own.
Mikalah Bliss contributed to the shutout with 2 saves in goal.
The women have a defining game this Wednesday as they will take on the No. 4 in the nation, Mohawk Valley Hawks in Utica, NY at 8:30pm following the men. The contest will take place at Utica-Proctor High School.
