Utica, NY - Women's Soccer had the daunting task of traveling to the No. 4, 7-1 Mohawk Valley Hawks with a 9pm start following the men.
The late hour didn't seem to phase either team, battling it out for 45 straight minutes resulting in a 0-0 first half.
A deep shot from Mohawk Valley soaring over the head of Goalkeeper,
Mikalah Bliss in the 74th minute of play gave the Hawks the first goal of the contest. The Hawks put up another in the 84th for the Lazers to trail 0-2. Unable to capitalize on offensive possessions, the Lazers fell to the No. 4 Hawks 0-2. Due to frustration,
Grace O'Gorman and
Harmony Russell were carded late in the second half.
The Lazers will travel East again on Saturday, October 7th to face the Fulton-Montgomery Raiders at 1pm for their next contest.
