Onondaga Women's Lacrosse was defeated by Monroe Community College, 16-8, on Sunday afternoon in Rochester, NY to give the Tribunes their sixth straight regional championship.

Bridget Moore got the Lazers on the board first but Monroe responded just thirty seconds after to tie the game. Monroe took the, 2-1, lead before
Erin Dingman notched her fifth goal of the tournament. The Tribunes started their charge halfway through the first half, scoring three unanswered.
Brigid Regin scored two within two minutes to keep the lead within reach, but Monroe scored another four unanswered to cushion their advantage.
Victoria Thompson cut the Lazers deficit to four when she scored back-to-back goals before the half, but Monroe's defense took over in the second , holding Onondaga to just two goals by
Victoria Thompson and
Erin Dingman, while Monroe netted six for the win.

Victoria Thompson both recorded three points,
Erin Dingman scored two goals, and
Makenzie O'Brien made 13 stops in net.

Despite the loss, Onondaga received an at-large bid to enter the NJCAA National Championship held next weekend at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland. The Lazers will face the Dragons of Howard Community College on Saturday, May 13 at 2:00pm. You can watch all of the action on
