#1 Onondaga Men's Lacrosse won their ninth game of the season, 33-2, over Union County College Owls at David W. Murphy Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Lazers started out strong, scoring fifteen goals in the first period. It took just fifty-nine seconds after the opening face-off for
Russ Oakes to score the first goal of the game, assisted by
James Sexton. The Owls were able to shoot two past
Riley Smith in the first, but that was all they would get for the game.

Austin Staats and
Russ Oakes connected for the fourth time of the game just nine seconds into the second period.
PJ Delpha scored his fifth of the season after a ground ball pick up from the face-off win by
Evan Schumacher. Delpha took an illegal hit by John Atanasio on the goal, which resulted in Delpha having to leave the field and Atanasio being ejected from the game.

Onondaga held a commanding, 25-2, advantage at the half, and added eight more goals through the third and fourth periods to remain undefeated.

Austin Staats tallied a game-high 8 points with 5 goals and 3 assists.
James Sexton and
Russ Oakes were close behind with seven and six points respectively with both contributing two assists.

Evan Schumacher went 10-for-12 with 6 ground balls,
Ty Cadeau went 3-for-5, and
Kiochi Nakamura won two.

Clayton Messmer caused two turnovers apiece, while
Drey Martin gobbled up five ground balls and
PJ Delpha captured four before leaving the game in the second period.
