Box Score Onondaga Women's Lacrosse narrowly escaped Anne Arundel Community College on Saturday afternoon with a, 16-15, victory in Arnold, Maryland.

The Lazers got out to a commanding, 9-3, lead with 9:26 remaining in the first half when the Riverhawks started to claw their way back. Despite Onondaga's, 11-6, advantage at halftime, Anne Arundel was able to tie it at fourteen with just seven minutes remaining in the game. Onondaga responded by scoring three unanswered off the sticks of
Brigid Regin,
Kass Myers, and
Molly Beck. However, the Riverhawks did not go away, scoring two goals in the final sixty seconds, but the Lazers were able to hold of the comeback to earn their first win of the 2017 season.

Brigid Regin earned a game-high 7 points (6 goals, 1 assist).
Kass Myers added 4 goals and an assist, and
Molly Martinichio had 3 goals. Also helping in the scoring effort was
Erin Dingman (2 goals),
Molly Beck (1 goal), and
Victoria Thompson (1 goal).

On the defensive side,
Victoria Thompson and
Margo Smith led the way with two caused turnovers each, and
Meg Evangelista earned the win between the pipes with 5 saves.

The Lazers travel back to Maryland next weekend to face Harford Community College on March 17th at 5pm, followed by Howard Community College on March 19th at 11am.
