Box Score The Onondaga Community College women's basketball team ended their regular season in the exact same way that they started the season – by scoring 88 points – in a 88-62 win over Cayuga Community College. Â

On Sophomore Night at the SRC Arena on the Onondaga campus, the Lazers improved to 25-3 overall (12-0 in the conference) and secured both the #1 seed in the conference tournament as well as the #1 seed in the upcoming NJCAA Regional tournament – both of which will be taking place at home at the Allyn Hall Gym on consecutive weekends beginning this Friday at 6pm.

Melissa Bakowski (West Genesee) led Onondaga in scoring with 19 points and thus secured individual conference scoring honors.  Samantha Roberts (Cicero- North Syracuse) continued to add to her school record in assists with 14 while scoring 11 points.  Kumba Marong (Bronx Leadership Academy) had her seventh double-double of the year with 16 points and 13 rebounds.  These three sophomores played their final regular season game for the Lazers along with fellow sophomore Imperio Cesar (New Explorers – Queens) who chipped in with 6 points and 5 rebounds.  Freshman Jordan Vaught (Bishop Grimes) knocked down 3 three pointers on her way to an 11 point night.

The Lazers begin the MSAC tournament at 6pm with a game against #4 seed Tompkins Cortland Community College on Friday night.  The finals of the conference tournament are scheduled for 1pm on Saturday.
