Box Score The Onondaga Community College Women's Basketball Team lost to D-I St. Petersburg College 84-68 on Monday night in the first game of a two game road trip to Florida.  The Lazers take on D-I Hillsborough Community College on Thursday at 6pm in Tampa before traveling to Corning to open up their conference schedule at 1pm on Saturday, January 9.
 
After a tightly contested first period which found Onondaga down 21-17, St. Petersburg went on a 12-0 run in the second quarter that eventually led to a 48-28 halftime deficit for the visitors.  While the Lazers closed the lead to 14 points several times in the second half, St. Petersburg was able to maintain their double digit lead to secure the victory.
 
Melissa Bakowski (West Genesee) once again led Onondaga in scoring with 23 points while Jordan Vaught (Bishop Grimes) chipped in with 17.  Kumba Marong (Bronz Leadership Academy) had her second double double of the year with 13 points and a game-high 18 rebounds which included 13 on the offensive glass.  Samantha Roberts (Cicero-North Syracuse) dished out 8 assists as Onondaga fell to 12-2 for the season.
