Box Score The Onondaga Community College women's basketball jumped out to a 12-0 lead at the beginning of the first quarter on their way to a 60-44 win over Corning Community College.
 
The Lazers (19-3 overall, 7-0 in conference play) have now won 7 straight and recorded their second win of the season over second-place Corning who fell to 13-6 overall and 5-3 in league play.
 
Kumba Marong (Bronx Leadership Academy) led Onondaga in scoring with 11 points while pulling down a game high 9 rebounds and making 6 steals.  Casssidy Rattray (Seneca Falls) came off the bench to contribute 10 points.  Samantha Roberts (Cicero-North Syracuse) dished out 7 assists to lead the team.
 
The Lazers moved to #5 in the national NJCAA rankings this past week and are set to play #3 Mohawk Valley at 8pm in Utica on Monday in a game of regional powerhouses.  The winner of this contest will have an inside track to hosting the Region 3 championships at the end of February.
