The Onondaga Community College softball team picked up two more wins on Thursday after sweeping the SUNY Broome Hornets in a Mid-State Athletic Conference doubleheader in Binghamton.

With the wins, Onondaga moves to 25-13 while SUNY Broome falls to 6-18 overall.

Game One: Onondaga 6, Broome 1Â
Brittney Sears held the Hornets to just four hits and a late-inning run as the sophomore pitcher moves to 13-5 in the circle this season. Sears frustrated the Hornets' hitters all game after retiring 11 on strikes.

Sarah Bregg set the tone in the game's first at-bat with a solo homerun before five more hits including four doubles would give Onondaga a 4-0 lead in the first inning.

The Lazers would plate a run in the second and fourth innings and would hold the Hornets off the scoreboard through six innings before Broome was able to get on the board with a one-out RBI single in the seventh.

Onondaga would hammer out seven extra base hits in the contest with
Samantha Moon adding a double and a triple in the win.

Game Two: Onondaga 9, Broome 1Â
After falling behind in the first inning, the Lazers plated two runs in the second after
Kyra Hunsinger smacked an RBI-single and later scored on a heads up base running play to make it 2-1, Onondaga.

The visitors would ad four more in the third inning after lining three singles including a two-run knock by Hunsinger.

The hits kept on coming for Onondaga in the fifth leading to three more runs before
Morgan Neadom singled home
Jess Rodriguez to end the game.

Elizabeth Jackson earned her ninth win of the season after throwing six innings and allowing only three hits.

The Lazers will continue their road trip at 3 p.m. on Friday when they take on the Jefferson Community College Cannoneers in an MSAC doubleheader from Watertown.
