Box Score 10 different players recorded a point as the nationally-ranked Onondaga Community College women's lacrosse team made quick work of Genesee Community College as the Lazers tamed the Cougars, 24-5, on Saturday afternoon in Batavia.

With the win, the Lazers, who rank second overall in the latest NJCAA national poll, moved to 11-1 on the season while the Cougars falls to 2-6.

Onondaga proved to be the aggressor early, scoring 10 unanswered goals before Genesee could notch its first tally of the game with 14:36 left to play in the opening half.

The visiting Lazers would extend their lead to 11 goals just four minutes later and would put the game well out of reach by intermission after building a 16-goal lead, 18-2.

Onondaga continued to control the ball in the second half, leading to six more goals and the win.
Makenzie Annable led the way with six goals while
Cheyenne Burnam added five scores in the win.Â
Jordan Osborne finished with four goals being credited to her name and
Jaycie Annable contributed a hat trick for Onondaga.Â
Brittany Anderson and
Katie Cordone scored two goals apiece.Â
Alisia Griffin and
Nicole DeVona found the back of the net once each.
Sophia Wojnovich earned the win in net for the Lazers and moved to 10-1 after giving up two goals with two saves in all.Â
Gretchen Krzykowski also saw time in net and made three stops.
The Lazers controlled the draw for a majority of the contest, winning 16-of-31 with Griffin accounting for eight draw controls.

The Lazers will conclude their regular season at 1 p.m. on Sunday when they visit Erie Community College before gearing up for the Region III Women's lacrosse Championship next weekend.
