The top-ranked Onondaga Community College men's lacrosse team scored 12 goals before nationally-ranked Howard Community College could get on the board as the No. 1 Lazers routed the visiting No. 6 Dragons, 26-4, on Saturday afternoon in a battle of top-ten programs at a frozen David W. Murphy Field. With the win, the No. 1 Lazers improve to 2-0 overall and have now won 89 consecutive games. Howard drops to 0-1 on the season.

Howard would notch its first tally of the game at the 8:43 mark of the second quarter, but the Lazers would answer quickly, scoring just seconds later when
Seth Leonard found Bennett open to make it 13-1 in Onondaga's favor.
The Dragons would have their best scoring opportunity late in the second quarter when Onondaga was flagged with two penalties, but the advantage was quickly erased when
Chandler Allen forced a Howard turnover and took it coast-to-coast to score the man-down tally as part of a 12-0 Onondaga run.
Howard would win the fourth quarter scoring three of the period's four goals including back-to-back tallies in the final minute, but the deficit was too great as the Lazers walked away with the 26-4 decision.
