Michael Scott scored what turned out to be the game winning put-back with 2.4 seconds remaining in the game to lift the Onondaga Community College men's basketball team to an 81-79 win at Cayuga Community College.

With the win, Onondaga closes out its regular season with a record of 16-12 and 8-4 in conference play while the Spartans finish the 2014-15 campaign holding a 4-21 mark and 2-10 record in the Mid-State Athletic Conference standings.

Trailing by five points at intermission, 43-38, the Lazers went to work, chipping away at Cayuga's lead to set the stage for Scott's heroics.Â

Scott posted his third consecutive double-double after finishing with a game-high 28 points and 12 rebounds.Â
Lloyd Parkmond also netted a double-double with 15 points to go along with 10 boards while
Kameron DiSanto contributed 12 points and eight rebounds of his own in the win.Â
Joseph Piazza chipped in with 10 points.

The Lazers will vie for a conference title at 5 p.m. on Friday when they take the second-seeded Finger Lakes Community College Lakers in a semifinal matchup of the Mid-State Athletic Conference Championship in Corning. Top-seeded Corning will play fourth-seeded Tompkins Cortland in the other semifinal with the winner of each meeting for the MSAC title at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
