The Onondaga Women's Basketball Team improved its record to 11-1 on Wednesday night with a resounding 106-39 victory over visiting Hudson Valley.

The nationally ranked Lazers jumped out to a 35-9 first period lead on the way to its third straight win. Onondaga placed five players in double figure scoring with
Melissa Bakowski (West Genesee) scoring a season high 23 points.Â
Hope DeFazio (Baldwinsville) (14),
Janee Joyner (Geneva) (11),
Kumba Marong (Bronx Leadership Academy) (10) and
Samantha Roberts (Cicero – North Syracuse) (10) helped the Lazers get over the 100 point plateau for the first time this year.Â

Onondaga also had a season high 31 assists led by Roberts with 13.

The team will finish off the first semester with a 3pm home game against Herkimer Community College on Saturday, December 12 before traveling to Florida in early January to take on D-I opponents St. Petersburg and Hillsborough community colleges.
