The Onondaga men's basketball team opened up the 2015-2016 season by defeating Dutchess Community College, 103-80, in the first round of the 9th annual Onondaga Classic.  Zachary Sawyer led the way with 19 points and Nikeem Deleon added 18 and 3 assists.  Jordan Bandera chipped in 14 and Kameron DiSanto tallied 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.  Hunter Williams also reached double figures with 10 points.

The Lazers advance to Sunday's Classic championship game against Northampton Community College, a 73-65 winner over Bunker Hill Community College in the other semi.  The title tilt tips off at 2:15 pm in the SRC Arena, while Dutchess and Bunker Hill will meet in a 2:00 consolation game in Allyn Hall.
