Kyle Kline drilled a career-high six 3-pointers and scored a team-high 20 points as the Onondaga Community College men's basketball team collected its first win of the new year with a 93-89 decision at Division II Jamestown-Cattaraugus Community College.

The Lazers, who evened their season record at 7-7, will open up Mid-State Athletic Conference play at 3 p.m. on Saturday when they host Corning Community College in Allyn Hall.

The Lazers held a 15-point advantage heading into the home stretch before the Jaguars (6-4) would cut the deficit to a single point in the game's final minute.

With the game on the line,
Trevor Smith came up big at the charity stripe, converting all four attempts in the last 12 seconds to give the Lazers the win.

Colyn Hanley provided a spark for Onondaga as the Jordan native collected his second double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds.Â
Thomas Towner added 14 points in the win while
Lloyd Parkmond and
Michael Scott each tallied eight points.
