The nationally-ranked Onondaga Community College women's soccer team had its five-game winning streak snapped on Monday as the Lazers fell 1-0 to unbeaten SUNY ESF at David W. Murphy Field.
With the loss, the No. 10 Lazers slide to 6-3-1 while the Mighty Oaks climb to 7-0 on the season.
The game's lone goal came in the 42nd minute after an Onondaga turnover deep within its zone.
The Lazers turned up the heat as the game neared its end, but re unable to find the back of the net as time ran out on the comeback attempt.
Margaret Choroser took the loss and moves to 6-3-1 on the season despite making 10 saves.Â
Kiersten Spears made six saves in relief.Â
Bridget Field booted a team-high five shots while
Rachael Gac took three.
The Lazers will return to the pitch at 4:30 on Wednesday and will host Corning Community College in an MSAC matchup at David W. Murphy Field.
