The Onondaga Community College volleyball picked up its third win in Mid-State Athletic Conference play on Wednesday after overcoming deficits in the first two sets to claim a 3-1 win at Onondaga's Allyn Hall.

The Lazers move to 10-4 on the season and remain undefeated in MSAC play at 3-0, while the Cannoneers slip to 5-5 on the season.

Onondaga opened up the first set trailing 15-10 before mounting a comeback to tie the game at 22-22., The Lazers would continue to pour it on as the frame wore on, scoring three of the next four points to claim the 25-23 win.

After falling behind, 8-3, early in the second set, the home team would again come from behind, rallying to take a one-point lead, 16-15, en route to a 25-18 victory.

Onondaga would once again find itself in an early hole in the third set as the Cannoneers jumped out to a 10-5 lead but this time there would be no late-set rally as Jefferson held on for the 25-19 win.

In the fourth set, neither team was able to gain a clear advantage as the Lazers and Cannoneers exchanged point after point eventually tying at 13-13., Onondaga would begin to take over late in the set, eventually holding a 22-20 lead before closing out the set and the match, 25-21.

Jessica Cost tallied a double-double with 11 digs and a game-high 31 assists while freshman Sydney Burritt also posted a double-double after clubbing 10 kills and 13 digs.  Melissa Krak registered a team-high 17 digs to go along with nine kills and Isabella Winklestine contributed nine kills, 10 digs and two blocks in the win.

Onondaga will return to the court beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday as the Lazers battle Monroe, Corning and Finger Lakes at the Cayuga Community College POD.
