Box Score The Onondaga women's lacrosse team defeated host Anne Arundel Community College, 15-11, in the National Junir College athletic Association national semi-finals today in Arnold, MD. The Lazers will now play Monroe Community College, a 24-11 winner over Harford Community College in today's other semi-final, in Sunday's national championship game. That contest will start at 1:00 pm.
Claire Wiggler tallied 7 goals to lead the Lazers.
Jenna Battaglini scored 3 goals and Mackenzie Annable added 2 goals and an assist.
Abbie Burd made 11 saves in goal and was supported by a defense anchored by
Grace Dungey,
Alexis Czyz, and
Alisia Griffin.
Sunday's game will be the 3rd meeting between the Lazers and the Tribunes, with Monroe capturing the first two contests on their home field. On April 12th the Tribunes came away with a 11-9 win, and then defeated the Lazers, 12-6, in the Region III championship game last week. The Lazers will be seeking their 3rd national championship in women's lacrosse.
