Lloyd Parkmond scored a team-high 21 points for the Onondaga Community College men's basketball team as the Lazers suffered their first loss of the year after falling on the road to SUNY Adirondack, 62-57, in Queensbury.
With the loss, Onondaga holds a 3-1 record overall while the Timberwolves improve to 2-0.
Freshman
Kameron DiSanto poured in 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting to go along with nine rebounds.Â
Joseph Piazza had six points and sophomore
Colyn Hanley chipped in with seven points and nine boards.Â
Michael Scott came up big on the defensive end with a career-high eight blocked shots and seven rebounds while
Patrick Twiss and
Kyle Kline each nabbed four assists.
After trailing the Timberwolves for much of the contest, Onondaga would find itself in an 11-point hole with just over five minutes remaining in the contest.
The Lazers would respond, however, cutting SUNY Adirondack's lead to a single point with two minutes left, but that was as close as Onondaga would get as the Timberwolves would convert 4-of-6 attempts from the free throw line to seal the win.
Onondaga will return to action at 2 p.m. on Sunday when it travels to Troy to face the Hudson Valley Community College Vikings in Region III action.
