Delhi, NY -
Brittany Anderson (Mynderse Academy) scored a career high 28 points, including a school-record tying eight 3-pointers, as the Onondaga Community College Women's Basketball Team won for the eighth time this year without a loss in a 96-48 win over SUNY Delhi.
The nationally-ranked Lazers jumped out to a 14-0 lead on the strength of a smothering half court defense that forced numerous turnovers by Delhi who fell to 4-4 for the season.
Besides Anderson, three other Onondaga players reached double figure scoring:
Melissa Bakowski (West Genesee) had 18,
Alisia Griffin (Geneva) chipped in 14, and
Emiko Powell (Schurr) added 11.
Samantha Roberts (Cicero-North Syracuse) dished out 10 assists in the win.
After the Thanksgiving break, Onondaga will return to action with a road game against NJCAA Division II powerhouse Monroe Community College on December 4. Tip-off will be 7:00 pm.
