The Onondaga Community College women's soccer team cruised past visiting Niagara County Community College on Saturday as the Lazers scored a season-high seven goals en route to a 7-0 in at David W. Murphy Field.
With the win, Onondaga moves to 9-4-1 while the Thunder Wolves slip to 1-10 on the season.
The Lazers got off to a quick start blasting three shots before
Alexandra Gallo scored the game's first goal in the 7th minute on the centering pass from
Jaycee Annable to put Onondaga up 1-0.
The Lazers would add to their lead two minutes later when
Rachael Gac found Annable who buried her third goal of the season to give the home team a two-goal advantage, 2-0.
Onondaga would continue to apply the pressure as the half wore on but the Thunder Wolves were able to keep the Lazers off the board until the 36th minute when Onondaga notched four goals in a span of three minutes.
The Lazers would add another goal in the opening minutes of the second half as
Corrine LaFrance scored her first-career goal in the 58th minute with
Kathleen Clark earning an assist on the play.
Bridget Field led all players with two goals on four shots while
Carlee Kingston also notched a goal in the win. Gac tallied two assists and
Brie Fabrize scored one goal for the Lazers.Â
Kayla Sharkey picked up her team-leading seventh assist.
Maragaret Choroser nailed down another win in net for Onondaga and after recording the shutout.
The Lazers will return to play at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and will host Erie Community College in Region III action at David W. Murphy Field.
