Box Score Utica, NY - The highest scoring NJCAA Division III team in the nation hit the 100 point mark for the fourth time in the last five games and came away with a 101-70 road win against the 9th ranked team in the nation.
The #2-ranked Onondaga Community College women's basketball team used its high-powered offense along with a swarming, full-court defense to defeat Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica on Monday afternoon.
Onondaga placed six players in double figure scoring led by
Amanda Marcely (Bishop Grimes) with 17,
Allie Taylor (Hannibal),
Kayla Kibling (Bishop Ludden), and
Jenn Deuel (Whitesboro) with 13 each, and
Brittany Anderson (Mynderse Academy) and
Angelique Price (Michael Petrides - Staten Island) with 10. Â La Quasia Berry paced Mohawk with 24 points. Â With the win, Onondaga improved its record to 17-4 while Mohawk Valley dropped to 14-5.
The Lady Lazers return home for a Mid-State Athletic Conference game at SRC Arena on Wednesday, January 22 at 4pm against Finger Lakes Community College.
