Onondaga Community College

Coach Motto has served as Assistant Head Coach at Onondaga Community College since 2010, following an extensive career with various colleges.  During his first year of coaching, the Oneonta State Men’s team reached the NCAA Division III National Tournament finals.  During his second year at Oneonta, the team qualified for the ECAC Tournament.  In 2008 Coach Motto was inducted into the College at Oneonta Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the national finals team.

After spending a number of years working with community and high school boy’s programs in the area,  Coach Motto transitioned to women's basketball when he accepted a position at Cazenovia College, where he also served as the Director of the Sports Management program.  During his seven years at Cazenovia, the last four as Women’s Head Coach, he helped build a solid program and was able to  lead the team to its first ever ECAC tournament invitation.  The Wildcats qualified for post-season play in each of his seven seasons with the program.

Working alongside Coach Wheeler for the last seven years at Onondaga, Coach Motto helped direct the Lazers to a 253-45 record.  He is also a professor in the Business Department at Onondaga.
