Cara Martin was titled the Head Coach of the Softball program in August of 2023.
Cara has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in the softball world. She is a native of Binghamton, NY and pitched for Binghamton University where she was a 2x America East Pitcher of the Week for the BU Bearcats after transferring from Rhode Island University her Sophomore season. Â
After college, Cara saw a need in the local softball community when she decided to open up the Pitch Perfect Softball Academy. She coached girls ranging from youth age to college players in the aspects of pitching and oversaw staff working on the other fundamentals of softball. Martin had a strong desire to give back to her community and help players reach the next level of softball.
Cara has also been an OCC Assistant Coach, working primarily with our pitchers, from 2019-2021. She is very involved in club softball and has experience working for the professional softball team, Smash it Sports Vipers. She also played for and helped coach the Conklin Raiders travel organization led by former Onondaga head coach, Bob Bates.
Cara currently resides in Rochester, NY.
