Gallagher Driscoll joined the Onondaga Community College men’s basketball program as an assistant in May of 2016, and helped guide the Lazers to a 28-5 overall record during his first season.
Prior to joining Onondaga Community College, Driscoll was coaching at Henninger High School under Lazers Head Coach Erik Saroney. He was also the assistant coach at Le Moyne College from 2005-2011 and again from 1995-1997 where he helped guide the Dolphins to an overall record of 144-117, including two NCAA appearances in 1996 and 1997.
In addition, Driscoll spent two stints at SUNY Albany from 1997-2000 and 2002-2005. He demonstrated his superior recruiting skills by elevating the under-recognized program to achieve the 93rd best men’s basketball recruiting class out of 327 Division 1 schools in 2004.
Driscoll’s devotion to the academic success of every player is reflected in accomplishing over 90% graduation rate throughout his coaching career.
A Syracuse native, Driscoll was a three year varsity starter at Bishop Ludden, accumulating all-league and all-state recognition. He attended the College of Saint Rose where he is still the Golden Knights all-time leader in assists (878) and steals (391). In June 2007, Driscoll’s achievements were identified when he was inducted into the College of Saint Rose Athletic Hall of Fame.
When Driscoll is not on the court, he serves as the Director of Enrollment and Special Events at Bishop Ludden High School.
