Jamesville, NY - The Onondaga Community College men's and women's cross country team competed at the Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational on Saturday, September 12, at Jamesville Beach Park.
The Lazers finished third in the men's 6K with 60 points and an average time of 22:22, finishing behind Le Moyne (31) and meet champion Oswego State (30). Onondaga's average time improved by 1 minute and 18 seconds from the team's previous race.
Freshman
Logan Bolton led the Lazers with a 7th place finish overall in 21:40.4. He was followed by sophomore Edward Popp, who placed 11th in 22:14.2, and freshman Joshua Vang, who finished 12th in 22:14.3.
Sophomore
Jackson Allen crossed the finish line 14th overall in 22:36.9, while freshman
Michael Dixon rounded out Onondaga's scoring five with a 16th-place finish in 23:04.5.
Raul Rosario finished 19th in 23:59.7, followed by
Garrett Bleskoski in 24th at 26:47.4.
Ethan Austin and
Logan Velez also competed for the Lazers, finishing in 35:19.5 and 36:10.2, respectively.
In the women's 4K, freshmen
Iley Humphrey and
Gabrielle McIntosh represented Onondaga. Humphrey finished 14th overall in 18:28.9, while McIntosh placed 17th in 19:02.8. McIntosh's performance marked a significant improvement from the previous week's race, as she lowered her time by 53 seconds.
The Lazers will next compete on September 26 at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan University.
