Syracuse, NY - Onondaga Women's Basketball hosted the MSAC Genesee Cougars on Saturday afternoon. A 77-52 victory for OCC moved them to 17-3 with a 7-1 mark in conference play.
Morgan Vasquez (New York, NY / Lab School Finance Technology) led all scorers with 18 points and 7 rebounds.

(Fairport, NY / Fairport, HS) tallied 16 points.
Onondaga shot 39.8% from the field in the victory, recording 48 points in the paint, 24 off turnovers, and 29 off the bench against the Cougars.
A 10-point 1st quarter for
Mary Hamer (Belfast, NY / Belfast HS) gave the Lazers a 15-11 edge headed into the second. The Lazers never surrendered their lead from the tip, extending in the 2nd outscoring the Cougars 26-13 with 10 from Vasquez. The Lazers headed to the break with a 41-24 lead.Â
The Cougars outscored OCC in the 3rd quarter 23-22, but OCC ran up their lead in the 4th shutting down the Cougar offense and forcing 7Â turnovers, resulting in a 77-52 final.
The Lazers are on the road with SUNY Broome this Wednesday, February 11th at 5pm before returning back home this weekend.
