Corning, NY - Onondaga Women's Basketball moved to 5-1 in conference with a road win over Corning Community College on Wednesday night.

Sophomore Mary Hamer (Belfast, NY / Belfast HS) led all scorers with 20 points and 7 rebounds in the Lazers' 84-62 victory over the Red Barons. Onondaga took an early lead but stayed within reach of Corning in the first half. The Lazers entered the break with a 35-26 lead. 

The Lazers pulled ahead in the second half outscoring Corning 25-12 in the third quarter for a comfortable 60-38 lead before securing the victory in the 4th. Giselle Allen-Cruz (Valrico, FL / Liverpool HS) tied her career high dropping 16 points with three threes. Kassidy Jones (Gallup, NM / Navajo Prep) tallied 13.

The 13-3 Lazers will host Mohawk Valley and Herkimer this weekend in Allyn Hall both tipping at 1pm.
