Gallery: (5-10-2025) Onondaga vs Harford - NJCAA Semifinal
Bel Air, MD - Onondaga Men's Lacrosse finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 13-4, ending their run at the National Championship this weekend at Harford Community College.
Onondaga received the No. 4 seed, to face the No. 1 Harford Owls in the Semifinal round on Saturday, May 10th at 1pm. The two teams met on April 11th on Wilbur Field where Harford took a 21-11 victory.
The Owls netted 7 goals in the 1st quarter against Onondaga's 1, scored by
Cy Deer on the assist fromÂ
Takaronhiotakie Thompson at 4:12. The Lazers went toe to toe with the Owls scoring 4 against their 4. Deer had another in the 2nd alongside
Owen Etoll,
Ethan Petrus, and Thompson headed into halftime trailing 11-5.
The second half began with a faceoff win for the Lazers from
Peter Resnick followed by a wide shot resulting in a clear and goal for the Owls for the first of the half. Onondaga responded on a man-up opportunity with a goal from
Gabe Edwards on the assists from
Jared Hussey. Onondaga continued to get shots off but didn't find the back of the net due to Harford's solid defense in goal. Onondaga trailed 14-6 headed to the 4th quarter.
Reef Beal put up an unassisted goal quick at 14:16 attempting to close the gap. Beal followed with another at 10:54 with another unassisted. The Lazers cut it to just 6-goal lead for the Owls at 9:08 after goals from
Chase Bain andÂ
Takaronhiotakie Thompson. The Owls capped it off with 17 goals at 6:39 where the Lazers couldn't scrape together anymore, falling 17-10.
Peter Resnick had a standout performance in the circle going 13-20.
Jacob Fifield had 14 saves in goal.
