Syracuse, NY - Onondaga hosted the Erie Kats on Sunday after having traveled to their place on Saturday. The Lazers fell short to the Kats in Sunday's doubleheader taking two losses.
Eric Korzeniewski started on the bump for the Lazers. The sophomore pitched 4 innings and had 4 strikeouts. A strong 5th and 6th inning for the Kats put them ahead 15-3 finishing in 6 innings.Â
Jake DePalma went 2-2 from the plate with 2 RBIs in game 1.
Onondaga held Erie scoreless in the first 2 innings with
Dylan Swartwood on the mound. The Lazers trailed 4-8 in the 7th inning with 2 outs. Finding gaps allowed them to string together 3 runs to make it a 7-8 game with runners still in scoring position. Unable to string together the tying run, the Lazers dropped game 2 of Sunday's the doubleheader. Johnathan Gonzalez-Perez,
Colin White, and
Brendan Mair each had 2 hits. Gonzalez-Perez had 3 RBIs.
Onondaga will travel to Cayuga Community College tomorrow, May 1st at 3pm.
