Watertown, NY - The Lazers traveled to Jefferson Community College last night for a matchup against the Cannoneers since their last meeting in mid November where the Lazers took a 78-70 victory. The high intensity contest resulted in Onondaga's first conference loss with a final score of 80-94 and moving to an 20-2 overall record.
Onondaga led after the first quarter, but trailed at the half by 10 with a dominant second quarter for Jefferson. The Lazers kept it tight but wouldn't retain another lead for the rest of the game.
Kathryn Grainger led with a career high 22 points.
Cianna Papineau had 16 points and 4 steals.
The Lazers will finish 11-1 in conference play. With three regional contests remaining before the postseason, Onondaga will host SUNY Adirondack and Monroe Community College this weekend in Allyn Hall.
