Syracuse, NY - Men's Basketball hosted the conference opponent Jefferson Community College in Allyn Hall suffering an 82-68 loss.
OCC came out of the gate hot getting several good looks.
Gage Kielmann, in his 13th season start, was unstoppable by the Cannoneers with five threes in the first half. After a quick half of back and forth scoring, Onondaga got the last possession resulting in a deep three from the top of the key at the buzzer from
Jackson Forte to tie it all up 40-40.
The Lazers were the first to score in another half of very back and forth scoring. Kielmann stayed hot with three more from the arc. There were five lead changes in the until the Canonneers pulled away with a 13-0 scoring run making it 69-62 with 7 minutes remaining and forcing an OCC timeout. Jefferson put up 6 more unanswered points out of the timeout, making the lead to large for the Lazers to recover as time ran down. With an 82-68 final, the Lazers move to 3-10 on the season. Kielmann finished with 29 points.
The Lazers will return the court for the spring semester on January 11th for an away game at Corning Community College at 2pm.
