Syracuse, NY - Men's Basketball hosted the Lazer Tip-Off Classic this weekend with visitors from Holyoke, Jefferson, and Lackawanna College. The Lazers went 1-1 on the weekend with games against Holyoke and Lackawanna.
The Lazers tipped off with the Holyoke Cougars at 7pm Saturday night. The two went neck and neck with a 5-point Lazer lead at the half. Bringing it down to the wire, the Cougars were able to tie it up in the second half at 83 out of a timeout with 4.7 on the clock. Joe Hulbert took another full timeout with possession to OCC for the final play of the game.

Jackson Forte on the inbound who went coast to coast with a last second layup to give OCC their first season win over the Holyoke Cougars, 85-83.
Gage Kielmann led all scorers with a career high 26 points and
Nazier Sanders added his career high 16 points. Forte added 10 for the Lazers.

The Falcons put up an early lead that the Lazers were unable to recover from and trailed 48-23 at halftime and a 79-60 final score. Kielmann had 25 points and 7 rebounds, now leading Region 3 with 21.5 points per game.
Jackson Forte added 15 points and 7 rebounds for the Lazers.

The men will travel to Tompkins-Cortland Community College this Wednesday for their second conference matchup.
