Syracuse, NY - Men's hosted their annual King of the Hill Cup against the Mighty Oaks of SUNY ESF. The men took a 3-2 victory and securing their 5th consecutive win over ESF.
The Lazers came out strong taking a 2-0 lead over the Mighty Oaks in the first 8Â minutes of the game with goals from
Johann Bratge and
Tyler Wavercak. ESF found net in the second half clawing their way back to a 2-2 tie until the 79th minute where the Lazers took back their lead on a goal from
Kyle Partington.
Jack Hopson had three assists in the contest. Goalkeeper,
Jordan Williams had two saves. The King of the Hill Cup will remain at Onondaga until the two teams meet again next Fall.
The Onondaga men currently sit in the No. 8 spot in the nation and Sophomore,
Samuel Gregson was titled NJCAA Division III Player of the Week after his 4-goal performance against Finger Lakes in Onondaga's home opener. The men are in a great spot as they take the field looking to advance to 3-0 this Saturday, September 2nd with another home contest against Jamestown Community College at 3:30pm after the women.Â
