Syracuse, NY - Women's Basketball moved to 11-1 after hosting Fulton-Montgomery Community College and traveling to Herkimer Community College this weekend for the final games of the fall semester.
The Lazers hosted the No. 12 nationally ranked Fulton-Montgomery Raiders at 1pm on Saturday. The last time the two teams met was for the Region III Championship in the 2022-23 season where the Lazers took a tough 45-84 loss. This played no factor in the 84-54 Saturday victory for Onondaga led by
Precious Gabriel with 16 points and 12 rebounds alongside Freshman,
Sarah Hirschler with 15.
Saturday's win carried into Sunday for a road game against the previously 5-3 Herkimer Generals. The 72-51 victory was led by
Avianna Baker with 16 points and 4 steals.
Kathryn Grainger added 14 of her own.
The weekend has the Lazers remaining in the No. 6 seed in the nation and the No. 1 seed in Region III with a 5-game win streak and a 6-0 conference record. They will return to the court on Wednesday, January 15th at 5pm at Finger Lakes Community College whom they previously defeated 82-34 in mid November.
