Syracuse, NY - The women's basketball team had their final regular season game on Tuesday where they defeated Corning Community College. This brings the women's final regular season record to 21-2, an undefeated regional record of 20-0, an undefeated conference record of 14-0, and a winning streak of 19 games. This puts the women in the #1 standing in Region 3 and #4 in the country.
The Lazers came out dominant in the first quarter outscoring the Red Barons 28-12. The Lazers maintained their energy throughout the game resulting in a 72-44 win.
Hannah Durand led the team in scoring with 20 points.
Macey DeOrdio contributed double digits as well with 16 points and
Zhané Holmes with 11.
The Lazers will have a bye in the first round of the Region III Tournament. They will host their first playoff game on Tuesday, February 22nd at 5pm in Allyn Hall Gymnasium. More details to come.
