Dryden, NY - The
Lazers traveled to Tompkins Cortland Community College to face off against the Panthers last night in a Mid-State Athletic Conference matchup. The Lazers had an excellent night on both sides of the court, claiming the win 73-43. This win extends their record to 19-2 overall and a perfect 12-0 in the conference.
The Lazers opened up the first half hot going on a 12-0 run in the first five minutes. The Lazers held the Panthers to a 29% field goal rate while shooting 51% from the field to claim a dominant lead, 47-24, going into halftime. The energy carried over to the second half for the Lazers outscoring the Panthers 20-10 in the third quarter. The Lazers went on to claim the victory 73-43.
The Lazers were led by sophomore center
Julia Logana who had a double-double with 14 points, 12 boards, and four dimes.
Cassidy Kelly also had a big night under the hoop with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Freshman guards
Macey Deordio and
Hannah Durand added 12 and 11 points respectively.
The Lazers look to bring their win streak to 18 when they take on Finger Lakes Community College Saturday, February 12
th, at Allyn Hall Gymnasium at 2:00 pm.
