Over the weekend Jakhi Lucas became the all-time career steals leaders in OCC history. On his career Jakhi has 146 total steals. During his freshman year Jakhi totaled 92 steals, he is on pace to break the single season steal record later this season. 

The Lazers had a lot to celebrate this weekend as they also went 2-0 on the weekend. On Saturday they defeated #1 ranked Herkimer 79-61 and they followed up on Sunday with a dominant 94-54 victory against SUNY Adirondack. 

Against Herkimer the two teams battled in the first half going into halftime with the Lazers trailing 33-35. The Lazers flipped a switch in the second half, outscoring the Generals 46-26 the rest of the game. Isaiah Warmack led the Lazers in scoring with 28 points, followed by Latyce Faison adding 25 points and 8 rebounds. 

On Sunday The Lazers continued their strong second halves as they outscored SUNY Adirondack 63-33 in the second half of the contest. Latyce led the Lazers with 34 points on the day. 

The men will finish their road trip on Wednesday as they travel to face off against Broome Community College.
