Syracuse, NY- The Lazers played back to back games this weekend and ended the weekend 2-0 with two convincing wins. On Saturday the defeated the Raiders of Fulton-Montgomery with a final score of 127-100 and continued their hot streak on Sunday when they defeated SUNY ESF with a final score of 94-70.
On Saturday the Lazers used a strong second half to defeat the Raiders. They outscored Fulton-Montgomery 65 to 46 in the second half. Six Lazers ended the game in double figures led by
Latyce Faison, who scored 33 points on 15-23 shooting.
Isaiah Warmack and
Jakhi Lucas added 18 and 17 points respectively.
Gop Arop added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in 16 minutes.
On Sunday it was much of the same story for the Lazers as they outscored ESF 51-35 in the second half.
Latyce Faison had another strong performance with 29 points and six assists.
Clinton Obi provided a major spark off the bench adding 16 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks.
The Lazers will travel to Cayuga on Wednesday for their first away game of the season.
