Batavia, NY- The Lazers went on the road for a tough battle with the Genesee Cougars. They came out on the other side victorious with a final score of 78-74. 

After a back and forth first half The Lazers came out in the second and began to stretch the lead to nine points. The Cougars went on a run and vaguely took the lead 72-71 at the 2 minute mark. Latyce Faison hit a left handed lay-up with 1 minute left in the contest that put the Lazers up 75-74. After a series of defensive stops and some made free throws the Lazers took the contest 78-74. 

Jakhi Lucas led the Lazers with 30 points and 8 rebounds. Clinton Obi had another brilliant performance off the bench adding 22 points and 10 rebounds on the night. 

The Lazers will return home this Saturday to face off against the North Country Saints.
