The Onondaga Lazers Softball team split the doubleheader versus Niagara Community College on Saturday. With the win and loss, Onondaga moves to 24-8 overall.
In game one, the Lazers defeated Niagara 21-2 in five innings. Onondaga scored their 21 runs on eight hits and three Niagara errors. Niagara scored their two runs on five hits and no Onondaga errors.
Isabel Milazzo earned the win in game one. In game two, Onondaga lost to Niagara 11-10. Niagara started with strong offense scoring five runs in the first inning, but were shut down when
Isabel Milazzo entered the game. She allowed just three runs in her almost seven innings of work. Onondaga's offense made a comeback featuring a six-run fifth inning, but Niagara prevailed and scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the game. Starting pitcher Katilyn Feocco suffered the loss.
The Onondaga Softball team will try to bounce back at home again in a doubleheader versus Erie Community College on Sunday, April 28th at 1:00PM and 3:30PM.
