The Onondaga Women's Soccer team defeated Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday with a score of 6-1. With the win, the Lazers move to 2-4-0 overall and 2-1-0 in the MSAC and 2-1-0 Regional play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lakers took a 1-0 lead halfway through the first half.
• Eleven minutes later the Lazers tied the game at one.
• Ciera Murphy scored her first goal of the season with assists coming from Lindsay Morelli and Sabrina Verdoliva.
• Erica Weber put the Lazers ahead 2-1 with her goal in the 34 minute. Murphy assisted Weber on the play.
• The Lazers took a 2-1 lead into the half.
• The Lazers dominated the second half.
• Sabrina Verdoliva (Claire Maring), Ciera Murphy (Sabrina Verdoliva) and Caitlin Barry (Mackenzie Chapman) scored three goals over an eight-minute span (62 minute-70 minute).
• The Lazers final goal of the match came off the foot of Hailey Niles in the 87 minute. Sabrina Verdoliva assisted the Niles goal. This was Verdoliva's third assist of the game.
• Marissa Curtis recorded four saves on the day.

 
Onondaga continues MSAC play on Wednesday when they return home to face Corning at 4:00 p.m.
