Onondaga had a strong showing in day 1 of the Seventeenth Annual Cara Bryant Memorial Tournament, going 1-1, in Allyn Hall.
The Lazers first match up of the night was against conference opponent Cayuga Community College, defeating the Spartans 2-0 (25-12, 25-10).
Their second matchup was against Northampton CC. The Lazers were hitting their marks all night but fell 2-1 in three close matches (25-20, 24-26, 12-15).

The Lazers started the day with an impressive match versus Finger Lakes, winning 2-0 (25-22 and 25-22)

In the final match of pool play, the Lazers defeated SUNY Broome, winning in two matches (25-21 and 27-25)

At the end of pool play, the Lazers entered the playoffs as the second seed.

In the most exciting match of the day, the Lazers took on Finger Lakes in the first semifinal game. Onondaga won the first match 31-29, as the teams continued to trade set points.  Finger Lakes came back to take the second set 25-26 and  to eventually took set three by two points (13-15).
First seeded Northampton CC took on SUNY Broome in the second semifinal game. SUNY Broome defeated Northampton for the second time in two days.
