Box Score In a game of undefeated teams in the Mid State Athletic Conference, the Onondaga Community College women's basketball team fell to Finger Lakes Community College 81-70 at Allyn Hall on the Onondaga campus in the Lazers first home game since December 10 of last year. Onondaga goes to 16-5 (4-1) for the season with the loss, while Finger Lakes moves to 14-3 (5-0).

After a tightly contested first half that saw the two teams exchange leads in end to end action with Finger Lakes pulling ahead by one point (34-33) at halftime, the visitors (paced by the strong play of point guard Ranaveya Richards who finished with  a game high 31 points that included 19 in the second half) outscored the Lazers 27-14 in the third period to take a 14 point lead going in the final stanza. Finger Lakes extended the lead to 18 midway through the period, and while Onondaga came back to cut the margin to 8, Finger Lakes was able to weather the storm to secure the win.

Rachel Scalisi (Fabius – PompeY) led the Lazers in scoring with 16 followed by Samantha Britton (Kenmore West) (15),
Shannon Foehl (Skaneateles) (13), and
Michaela Whiteman (G. Ray Bodley – Fulton) (12).Â
Sydni Eure (East Syracuse – Minoa) pulled down 13 rebounds, and Whiteman handed out 5 assists.

After playing 6 games in the past 10 days, the Lazers have several days off before traveling to Auburn on Saturday, January 27 to take on Cayuga Community College in a 1pm contest.
