Box Score While the travel down to and back from the game was a bit slow and arduous, the Onondaga Community College women's basketball team was up to the task as they defeated the SUNY Broome women in Binghamton 71-39 on Tuesday.

With the win Onondaga improved its record to 14-3 (2-0) on the season while Broome fell to 2-14 (0-3).

After a slow first period, the Lazers exploded for 24 points in the second quarter while limiting Broome to 6 points and went into the locker room at halftime with a 37-13 lead which they extended in the second half to the final margin of victory.

Samantha Britton (Kenmore West) led the way for Onondaga with 19 points and 11 rebounds while former East Syracuse – Minoa high school teammates
Sydni Eure and
Danielle Yates each had 9 rebounds to go along with 13 and 11 points respectively.Â
Michaela Whiteman (G. Ray Bodley – Fulton) rounded out the double digit scorers for Onondaga with 10 points.

The Lazers continue their road odyssey when they travel to Jefferson Community College in Watertown for a 5pm tip-off on Thursday, January 18.
