Box Score The Onondaga Community College Women's Basketball team came back from a road loss to North Country on Saturday with a resounding 83-30 victory over host Clinton Community College on Sunday to gain a split in their weekend contests and improve to 7-2 for the season. Clinton fell to 2-7 with the loss.

After taking a 31-15 halftime lead, the Lazers erupted for 52 points in the second half by employing a smothering half court defense that created numerous Cougar turnovers that led to transition baskets on their offensive end. Onondaga also shared the ball well on their way to 23 assists for the game.

Onondaga also shared the scoring load as five players scored in double figures for the game. Samantha Britton (Kenmore West) led the visitors with 16 points while front court running mate
Sydni Eure (East Syracuse – Minoa) contributed her eighth double-double in nine game with 13 points and 12 rebounds.Â
Rachel Scalisi (Fabius-Pompey) had 12 points, and
Danielle Yates (East Syracuse-Minoa) and
Michaela Whiteman (Fulton) came off the bench to score 10 points each. Whiteman also knocked down two 3-pointers and dished out 6 assists.Â
Robbie Wucher (Onondaga Central) had a career high 10 rebounds in the win.

The Lazers will be home at the SRC Arena for the first of three games this coming week with a 6pm tipoff scheduled against regional opponent Hudson Valley Community College (7-2) on Wednesday, December 6.
