Box Score The Onondaga Community College Women's Basketball team couldn't recover from a slow start in its regional game against North Country Community College in Saranac Lake on Saturday and went down to the team's second loss of the season – 79-71. The Lazers fell to 6-2 for the season while North Country improved to 7-3.
While Onondaga closed the early deficit to 3 points on several occasions, they were never able to take the lead at any time during the game that saw each team go to the foul line for 33 free throws – with the Lazers making only 15 of their 33 attempts.
Shannon Foehl (Skaneateles) led Onondaga in scoring with 23 points which included 4 makes from long range.
Sydni Eure (East Syracuse – Minoa) continued her double-double streak with 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Samantha Britton (Kenmore West) scored 11 points for the Lazers in limited minutes due to foul trouble.
Onondaga continues its weekend road trip with a 12noon game against Clinton Community College in Plattsburgh on Sunday.
