Box Score No.6 Onondaga Women's Basketball defeated Anne Arundel CC, 75-53, on Monday afternoon, returning home from the Nation's Capital with two strong victories.
Despite falling into a quick six-point deficit, the Lazers were able to fight back and take the 18-14 lead after the first quarter. Following two made free throws by
Morgan Deland, Onondaga captured a 12-point edge with five minutes remaining in the half, but the Riverhawks refused to quit, cutting OCC's lead to five going into the half. Onondaga owned the third, shooting .520 from the floor, and then cruised to victory during the final quarter.
Sam Britton put on a show in the paint, dropping 19 points and collecting 19 boards for her second double-double of her career.
Morgan Deland followed up her star performance from yesterday's game with her fifth double-double of the season (13 points and 11 boards).
